I suspect that as mobile becomes the norm, people will store a lot of fairly personal data in the cloud, because they want it at hand. I like my novel being safely on my hard drive, but I'm in the desktop generation. Someone mobile, and writing a novel, might want it handy, even - maybe especially - on walkabout. It is a philosophical question, which makes it so interesting. I suspect that as mobile becomes the norm, people will store a lot of fairly personal data in the cloud, because they want it at hand.

I don't believe many people would store their journals/novels/spredsheets on their moble devices any more than they would keep their Tweeter account or their Find-it app on their home PC. This sounds like it will eventually wind up segragating your data into two groups...one you keep at home and the other you take walk-about.
